For seven days, the God Drums shook the cloudless sky, and we trembled, for we all grew up with the old legends.
For seven nights, the stars fell from the heavens to the earth like the tears of the Gods, and we all prayed, for we knew the three demons approached the Door of Heaven.
On the eighth, there was stillness, and true horror gripped us, for we all knew that the immortal guardian of Death had failed.
The Door was opening.
